Renaming a SitePublisher site’s directory

If you get the name of the site wrong or if you want to move your site to a new directory, simply renaming the containing directory will cause havoc to the installation.

In addition to renaming the folder, you must also update the site descriptor in default.site to point to the new folder. You would think that default.site – which describes what the site properties are and is located in the directory for the site – would not need to contain that information. Yet it does and that’s why you need to update it. Tick the file and and select Edit with in the Edit menu to edit it with a text editor.
